Hold down the file and then hit edit name’. Change its name to’msgstore to ensure that it is not overwritten. Viathis app, find a WhatsApp/Databases folder. Check both your SD card and internal storage. On the list, you need to rename first the one labeled msgstore.db.crypt12 into a different name. Find the file you'd like to recover, and then rename it to msgstore.db.crypt12. Delete the WhatsApp app from your phone and install it again.
